Dear Hikers
Here are the details for this weekends hike.
For those in and around Jerusalem there will be a coach meeting us at 6.45am on Friday morning at Gan Ha'Paumon (on the corner of King David Street, Derech Hevron and Emek Refaim) in Jerusalem. Please bring your own lunch with you and we will stop at a service station on the way north.
We are driving to the start of our path leading into Nahal Amud http://www.eretz.com/NEW/trailgalil.shtml for our first day's hike. We camp that night at Ein Tina at the foot of Har Meron (arrive around 6.30pm) where there will be running water, showers and toilets and a nice hot meal, tents and sleeping bags provided for us (we put them up and cook the dinner : )).
The next morning we do our climb of Har Meron http://outdoors.webshots.com/photo/1133591958047785674ZQjuPz
which, with stops, will take the whole day and we get to the Field school on the other side of Har Meron before nightfall where a coach will be waiting to take anyone back to Jerusalem (I will try and have a couple of stops in the city for convenience). We will arrive back in Jerusalem around 11.30pm.
Lunch is provided on the Saturday and again we will stop on the way back to grab something to eat.
I recommend to bring all the usuals plus insect repellant, wet wipes, sun cream, a warm top for the evening and a torch/flashlight.
You can call me, Nic, anytime on 0526042642 with any questions.
